The eagerly awaited new edition of Warhammer 40K has finally arrived, signaling the imminent release of a fresh Space Marine codex. This upcoming codex, scheduled for later this year, promises to introduce a plethora of reinforcements for the valiant Adeptus Astartes forces across the vast Imperium.

With the Space Marine range already extensive, Games Workshop has decided to bid farewell to some of the long-standing kits to make room for the splendid new miniatures. There’s a full list below and we still have copies of many of them in stock, so pick them up while you still can:

However, fear not, as there are alternative options for several of these departing units. For instance, if your loyal Bike Squad has served you and the Emperor faithfully for two decades, you can retain them in your army by using the rules for Outriders.

Similarly, certain data sheets encompass multiple units, allowing you to continue fielding your beloved Assault Squads by utilizing the rules for Vanguard Veterans.

Additionally, the Venerable Dreadnought will persist in the new Codex, albeit with a slightly abbreviated name to just "Dreadnought." It can serve as a representation for older plastic or metal Dreadnought models.

While some departing units like the Thunderfire Cannon or Land Speeder won't have a direct counterpart in the new Codex, fret not, as their rules will find a home in Warhammer Legends, and they will be available for free download on Warhammer Community. This means you can continue using them in your games, except for competitive Warhammer 40K events like tournaments. In most cases, these rules will closely resemble, if not be identical to, the ones found in the recent Index deck.
