The Blohm & Voss BV222 was a long-range German flying boat developed for transatlantic passenger service before WWII. After the outbreak of WWII, the BV222 was adapted for military use as a maritime patrol and transport plane. Plans were even drawn up to use the BV222 to establish a route between Germany and Japan across the northern coast of Russia. This massive 1/72 scale kit from Revell has 280 detailed plastic parts and measures 51.3cm long when complete.
