Pokemon TCG: Come see the unique art in 151

Get ready to reignite your love for the Kanto region and those OG 151 Pokémon we all adore. We've got some exciting info fresh off the official Pokémon website at pokemon.com about the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—151 expansion dropping later this month.

Gengar

First up, let's talk about Gengar. Illustrator Tomokazu Komiya always brings the heat with their artwork, and this Gengar is no exception. With its sly grin, this Gengar looks like it's ready to blend into Komiya's wild and colorful backdrop. It's got a couple of sneaky moves too. Poltergeist forces your opponent to spill the beans on their hand and dishes out 50 damage for each Trainer card they're holding. Hollow Dive packs a punch with 110 damage, plus you get to sprinkle three damage counters on your opponent's Benched Pokémon. Sneaky, right? But seriously, the artwork is where it's at!

Aerodactyl

Next, we've got Aerodactyl. Illustrator Shinji Kanda might be new to the Pokémon TCG block, but they're already a pro at creating epic artwork. Aerodactyl looks like a destructive god soaring through a vibrant forest landscape. It's a card that tells a story and paints a picture of power. Aerodactyl's Glide attack is no joke with 30 damage, but the Devolution Ray is the real deal. It dishes out 100 damage and, if your opponent's Active Pokémon is evolved, you can throw it back a stage. Watching your opponent's Pokémon devolve? Priceless.

Poliwhirl

Now, let's take a moment to appreciate Gemi's Poliwhirl. It's strolling through the rain like it's no big deal, creating a dreamy scene that captures the essence of a rainy day. As a Water-type Pokémon, Poliwhirl doesn't mind the rain one bit. It's like it's pondering its reflection in the puddles while the streetlights add a touch of magic. Poliwhirl's Wave Splash and Frog Hop attacks are cool and all, but sometimes, you've gotta slow down and enjoy the simple joys of a rainy day.

Blastoise ex

Blastoise ex is a beast with 330 HP, and it's as tough as nails with its Solid Shell Ability, reducing damage taken by 30. And this tank can dish it out too. The Twin Cannons attack can hit for up to 280 damage when you toss a couple of Basic Water Energy cards from your hand. Illustrator Mitsuhiro Arita takes us underwater for a fresh perspective on Blastoise ex, and it's a sight to behold. It's not your usual in-your-face Blastoise; it's deep, dark, and mysterious.

Wigglytuff ex

Last but not least, we've got Wigglytuff ex, looking like it's been hitting the gym with 250 HP and a nifty Ability that can boost it to 350 HP if it's got some Special Energy attached. That's some serious staying power. Its Friend Tackle attack can pack a wallop, especially if you've played a Supporter card this turn. It can go from 90 damage to a whopping 180, basically guaranteeing a KO against most Pokémon. Wigglytuff's got determination written all over its face.

These are just a taste of what Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet 151 has in store for you. There are more awesome cards to discover when this expansion drops later this month. It's gonna be a blast.
